Today's exam, was Art. Which Liyana missed. What the hell Liyana. Lol. So OK, I was in class, cracking my insides for the sight of a tiny milliliter of Creative Juice. None. Zilch. I should have been a smart ass and shot myself. But no. Well you can't really blame me, considering ART TEACHERS LOVE LIMITING YOUR CREATIVITY THESE DAYS. Title choices this time were;
Yes. I'm serious...ON TOP of giving us SHIT titles, they're all full of god-forsaken typos and grammatical errors. wtf.
I chose no.2 and sat down to do some rough sketching before exam. A group of Indian girls were sitting in front of Teacher and talking. In Tamil. And here's what Teacher said: "Girls. Stop talking in Tamil. You can go home and do that" And this got me thinking... WHY did she say that? I mean, I understand if it's her subject period and we have to speak in English in respect of what we're learning. But this? (Bear in mind that it was NOT her subject period) It may have seemed really subtle, but there was definitely a tinge of racism going on.
What is it about the Tamil Language that is so unpleasant to hear, that INDIAN girls have to go home in order to speak their MOTHER TONGUE???? No, really. This is really unfair. I don't care if I am going to be shot dead for posting this, but EXCUSE ME??? Can speak BM anytime. Can speak English anytime. No one says ANYTHING about Chinese. But Tamil? SO MUCH FOR "We are a multiracial community", when TEACHers are not taught to embrace the different cultures and languages of MALAYSIA.
Stop this hypocrisy. Because it's really getting to me (and a fair few other people).
If I weren't so afraid of being thrown out of school, I would have spoken up. So I am now hoping that someone reads this and recognizes a plea.
And does something about it.

Just A Pinch ,
I'd like to live on an island.
Where the sands are golden and the water turquoise.
Where the sun is my friend and the moon my guardian.
Where I am only with the people I love and people who love me.
Where music is the only source of oxygen.
Where I can do just about ANYTHING and nobody would give a fuck.
Where unnecessary, materialistic things are just that. unnecessary and materialistic.
Where money doesn't exist because we don't need it.
Where the air is clean and the sky always blue.
Where the only sources of light at night are from fire-flies and the stars above.
Where I have everything i want.
Where laughter never fades away.
Where illnesses are non-existent.
Where there is one race, one religion.
Where there is no heaven and hell.
Where I can sit around and have conversations with God.
Where I can sit around and have conversations with myself.
Where people are not afraid to say "I love you" and mean it ♥
Where nothing really matters.
